Almost exactly a year ago, I joined a Yahoo! group of people who all expected their dossier to go to China in November 2004. During the months that Eric and I waited for our referral, this group gave me incredible support and advice. Long before any of us received our referrals, we met in Chinatown for dinner. This morning the same group met for dim sum so we could see one another and meet the new additions to our families. At the restaurant we gathered everyone together for a picture. It felt a lot like taking the "red couch photo" in China -- chaotic, loud, and at moments, downright funny! It was really great to see everyone.
